Here's what makes HardStop impossible to turn off

Here's the truth about every blocker you've tried before: if you can set it up from your phone, you can delete it from your phone. One weak moment, a few taps, and it's gone. Or you've found other loopholes and then blamed yourself, but it's not you - it's a product flaw.

HardStop instead uses what Apple calls a Configuration Profile which requires a computer to set up and cannot be removed without the password.

The need for a computer to set up isn't a bug, it's a feature.

You'll temporarily turn off Stolen Device Protection and Find My iPhone because Apple requires it to install a password protected Configuration Profile. And to be clear about what we can see: nothing. HardStop doesn't monitor, log, or report your activity to anyone.

By the way - it can be a good idea to back up your phone to iCloud before making changes to any device, just to be safe. Settings → [name] → iCloud → Back Up Now.
